Empowering Nationalization through e-learning
Having troubles convincing your local workforce, especially the Nationals to embrace e-learning?Just add the Khaleeji mix.  This consists of one doze of Arabic language and two dozes of GCC cultural context in the learning experience. The shift from traditional training in classrooms to more blended learning incorporating e-learning experiences is happening at a slow pace in the GCC. The lack of engaging content delivered in Arabic and in a ‘Khaleeji’ context, the local language and culture of the GCC, may be an important contributor to this slow adoption especially for the local workforce.  In this context, Marefa Digital realized the need to reimagine the ‘Khaleeji’ learning experience by offering just-in-time courses through engaging digital tools.

Learners @ Change: From a ‘how to’ approach, to a ‘why and what’ approach
Organizations in the Middle East and Africa Region have been working hard in the past 10 years to “manage change”, and things in the macro environment do not seem to be steadier. The problem that most organizations are facing is the way they are tackling change. The mindset is about how to be efficient in the change implementation, in other words answering the “how to change” question. In this session, inspired by more than a dozen corporate transformations, Camil el Khoury will describe how L&D professionals can act more as business drivers than business executors.

How coaching can re-engage people in times of change
Kamilla is one of your top performers. She has always cared about her work and motivated everyone around her. But in the past few months, she has completely disengaged. Your organization is undergoing major changes. The leadership has been replaced, there is talk of more redundancies and teams are being asked to deliver more results with less budget.  You have reassured Kamilla that her job is safe. You have even promised her a pay rise. But Kamilla is still insecure and disengaged. Coaching helped to re-engage Kamilla. It can help you to (re)engage your people. Attend this session to find out how!

Enhancing learning transfer through neuroscience

Ensuring learning transfer is the greatest and most important challenge facing talent development professionals. But what is the best way to make learning stick? Recent findings from psychology and neuroscience studies offer new perspectives on how to facilitate learning in a ‘brain-friendly’ format in which learning transfer and retention is more likely. This research into the psychology of learning and neuroscience is providing significant insights that improve the design and delivery of learning. However, this has yet to be translated into widespread changes in practice, leading to a missed opportunity for many organisations to enhance learning effectiveness. In this session you will discover effective techniques that can be used to enhance learning & memory by using brain science to leverage learning and facilitate effective learning transfer.
